Luke Chute Pollinator Project
Summer 2016
FLMR has partnered with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Partners, the Ohio Pollinator Habitat Initiative, and Pheasants Forever to create over 6 acres of pollinator habitat on the Luke Chute Conservation Area. We have been working on it all summer and will be planting the area this winter. Once established, this habitat will benefit numerous native bees and wasps, honey bees, other pollinating insects, hummingbirds, monarch butterflies, and all the plants and animals that rely on these important pollinators.
Yesterday's weather notwithstanding, spring has arrived at Luke Chute Conservation Area. If you go, be careful on the trails as whoever trimmed for the power company left a huge mess that will take us some time to clear. ...
