If you are on the trails and see these blue stumps, it means Doug and other volunteers have been hard at work controlling the misnamed Tree of Heaven. The blue is herbicide that kills the tree and prevents regrowth. Why are we killing healthy trees? Because tree of heaven is invasive, crowds out native trees, and is host to the invasive spotted lanternfly. ...
